Alice Boavista
Alice Boavista is a singer, pianist, conductor, arranger, and composer. At the University of Aveiro, she completed her degree in Conducting, Theory, and Musical Training. She has participated in competitions, workshops, and masterclasses in classical piano, jazz piano, singing, theater, and conducting.
Currently, she works as a conductor in Aveiro,
as a pianist with the Quarteto Nota do Meio,
a singer with the traditional Portuguese music group Eiró, and as the co-founder of the project Gomo de Tangerina.
Paco Nabarro
Paco Nabarro is a classical guitarist, arranger, and teacher. He holds a bachelor’s degree in classical guitar (FAAM) and a postgraduate degree in popular song (Santa Marcelina), and is currently pursuing a master’s in Jazz Guitar at the University of Aveiro. He has worked as a performer and arranger on projects in Brazil and Portugal, playing with artists such as Jota.Pê, Nina Oliveira, and “A Garota Não.” Awarded in guitar and arrangement competitions, he released his solo album Dedicatórias in 2022. He is a member of the duo Gomo de Tangerina and teaches both in-person and online lessons for students in Brazil and Europe.
Project
Gomo de Tangerina was born from the sensitive and creative meeting of two musicians with different backgrounds and paths, yet united by a shared passion: Portuguese and Brazilian music. This bridge between cultures takes shape in an original sound that blends elements of classical music, jazz, and popular music, without losing spontaneity or aesthetic rigor.

With just over a year on the scene, Alice and Paco have captivated audiences in several cities in northern Portugal, including Aveiro, Porto, Marco de Canaveses, Guimarães, Baião, Lousada, and Amarante.

In August 2024, they held an artist residency at Quinta da Pedra in Medrões, Régua, where they immersed themselves in their original work as well as pieces by other composers who dedicated their works to the group.

Beyond live performances, Gomo de Tangerina has also shared their music with the digital world. They have released tracks on YouTube and their single "Simples Assim" is available on all streaming platforms.
